Going Going...Gone!

My kids wanted to have a bake sale this weekend.  So we have been baking mini cupcakes -50 cents each.   White cake with lemon cream,  and chocolate cake with milk chocolate frosting (each with it's own tiny flower on top).   So come on by, call, or email if you think you need some tiny perfection!  Wouldn't your spouse just love you if you showed up with a box of these?   Fresh squeezed lemonade will also be available tomorrow on the front lawn.  (There is talk of some homemade wheat and banana bread - but we'll see how tired I am tonight)

I am so inspired by the 912 project.  What is it you ask?  Check it out here.  I highly recommend you read the mission statement and the 9 principles and 12 values.   This is the kind of American I want to be.  I embrace those principles and values.  It starts with me.

It's hard to see the glitter in the picture - but these cupcakes were "blinged" out.

Bright and Fun Cake

I really had fun with this cake.  It just makes me happy.  I even had an audience when I made this one.  (Thanks for the company Meredith, Kendall, and Mer's Mom)  I was so happy for an excuse to use my big orange cake stand as well.

Polka Dot Cupcakes

These were much cuter than the picture.  Chocolate cupcakes with chocolate filling, covered in sparkly lavender fondant with chocolate polka dots.   Off to clean the kitchen!
