Poinsettia Cookies

I had an order for 125 poinsettia cookies.  I am officially tired and I don't think the red food coloring will ever come off my hands.

Cookie Decorating Class

I taught a cookie decorating class last night at my house.  Here are some pictures of all the fun!

After everyone left,  I of course, had to finish off decorating the last of the cookies.
I made these storefronts out of gingerbread to hang as ornaments on the tree.  I really like the way they turned out.
And these simple snowmen actually were my favorite of the night.

Can you say sticky?

Cookie Tricks!

Everyone has been asking me, "How do you make the silhouettes on the cookies?"   Alright - here's my secret.  I pipe them first, and when they are dry I just pick them up, and place them onto the frosted cookie.  We cranked out another hundred of those babies today.  Hope you're hungry!

Sneak Peek!

My sister and I finished the silhouette cookies of Christian and Stephanie to be sold at the Mindy Gledhill concert.  All the profits will be donated.  Don't you want to buy a yummy cookie?  (Come on, please buy one!  I hand piped those with LOVE!)

Giveaway!

One dozen cookies to the person who leaves me the funniest comment.  That's right, I want to laugh - hard.   My family and I will review the comments on Monday and decide who made us laugh the hardest.  That person will get one dozen, fresh baked, homemade decorated cookies.
(If you want to participate and you aren't local, I will happily ship the cookies at your expense.  It runs about $20 to ship them fresh).

Cake and Cookies - Oh My!

When I got back from Hawaii, I promised my sister I would help her make a cake and cookies for a bridal shower she was throwing for a friend.  (After all, she did watch my kids for 10 days).
Here's the finished product.   It does look more like a child's birthday cake, but she assures me that it looked great with the theme of the party.

Happy 4th!

Here's what I've been up to this last week.  It's been crazy (and sticky) around here.  Now I am off to the beach for a week!  I will be back and yes - I will post pictures of my new office.  I am just waiting for a few more things for the wall and then I will be ready to reveal.

In the meantime, have a happy 4th!

Busy Baking

This week has been crazy!  Here's a cake I made for my friend Amanda's birthday.  I was happy with the way it turned out.  I also had  a few cookie bouquet orders for teacher gifts.  To mix it up a bit I added a worm that took bites out of the apples.  I loved doing the chalkboard!

A+ Teacher!

It's teacher appreciation week so I had a few orders for teacher gifts.
As soon as the frosting dries, I will bag them and be done!  Shwew!

"Ribbit"

This is a cookie bouquet I did for someone who was answering a boy for prom.  I think the frogs turned out cute.  The card says "Of all the frogs in the lake, a handsome prince you will make."

Here's a cake I did for a friend.  I love the lettering, but the cake came out a little lumpy.  Practice - Practice I guess.

Baking Frenzy!

Here's some pictures of what I was making this weekend.  These are the cookies I made for Designer Blvd's spring fling sale.  The bouquet is at the entrance and on Tuesday, they will be serving my cookies for an evening workshop.

My neighbor gave me this plate to inspire a birthday cake for her daughter's 2nd birthday.
Here's what I came up with.
