As promised, here is a picture of my daughters freshly painted room.  I still don't have anything on the wall yet, but I like the green.

Here's a cake I worked on with my friend Jen.  She baked and designed it - I just helped.  I love the Chinese theme.  (It says congratulations in Chinese - Brandi just got her bachelors degree).

The Office ReOrganized!

Alright folks.... the moment has come.  I am actually posting pictures of my office. It took me long enough!

Here's the way it looked before.  (It still makes me cringe).

And here's what it looks like when you walk in the door now!

I replaced Rusty's dog crate with a personalized dog bed.  (He wasn't as excited about that as I was.  He stinks it up just the same).

A look to your left again.  Did I mention that I LOVE my new apple computer.  I don't think I can ever go back - ever!

The kids have their own work space as well for homework and crafts.  They are always in here working on something.  

My favorite thing of all is my old fashion pay phone.  The kids love to send change through the slot.  It's nice having a corded phone in the house.  It never gets lost.

Well folks, there you have it.  It's pretty simple, but it makes me happy.

Time To Go To Work!

I am signing off for the week as I finish organizing my workroom/office.  That's right, you heard me!  The walls are painted, the new floor is in.  The baseboards are back on and painted.  The shelves are in place and I am ready to go!  Now I just have to find a place for everything until everything is in it's place.   It sounds easy enough, but I find myself staring blankly at the wall, not sure what to do.  Wish me luck!

I swear I am never gonna lose those 10 pounds!  The kids went back to school yesterday and I was all geared up to rid my house of the holiday sweets.  

And then it decides to RAIN!!!  
If you know me, then you know that it's tradition to make cinnamon rolls on rainy days. (In Mesa that is only twice a year).  So here's to tomorrow...

(They were really good though).

Today I am hanging out in my grubs all day long.  It's time to organize!!

That's right - every drawer, cupboard, and pile is getting an overhaul.

At the top of my list for 2008 is get my office organized, painted, and usable.  This is the year folks.  After 3 years of having to shut the door to the office because I would die of embarrassment, I am fixing it up.  I want it to be a room I can stand to work in and be proud of.
 I can't bear to put my new IMac in there.  It's gotta go!
