The Christmas Sweater

I just finished 'The Christmas Sweater' by Glenn Beck.  I loved it.  It was very touching and helped get me in the Christmas mood.
I actually bought the audiobook on itunes and listened to it on my nano while I frosted cookies.  I LOVE technology!  Besides, it was much better listening to him read it - he is a great story teller.
Just thought I would pass that along!  Happy reading (or listening)!

To split or not to split - that is the question?

I don't know at what point my blog turned into a cake and cookie blog.  I blog about my life and that just happens to be my life right now.  I have been toying with the idea of a new blog just for cakes and cookies.  I don't know?  Or do I just keep posting the sweets along with all my other tidbits?  Do you like getting both, or are you just here for the confection?

I am allowing comments on this post as I am curious as to what to do.  Mind you, if I do decide on a separate blog, it will definitely happen after the holiday's and then some.  I am a slow mover and by the way - how the heck does everyone make their blogs look so cute.  I haven't the time to figure it out.  So along with your suggestions about separating into 2 blogs or not, does anyone know a good blog designer?

How do you spell PEACE?

The kids and I were trying to get all the Christmas decorations up before my hubby came home from his trip to Oregon.  I was out in the garage rummaging through more boxes and I came in to find that the kids had already put up the stocking holders.   Ya - it's supposed to say PEACE
Funny -  real funny!

Poinsettia Cookies

I had an order for 125 poinsettia cookies.  I am officially tired and I don't think the red food coloring will ever come off my hands.

Cakes for Anna and Eldon

Somehow in the middle of all the Thanksgiving festivities, I managed to pull off 2 cakes.  This one was for a little girl who loved polka dots.  I thought it was so cute and fun.
This cake was more simple, but my brother and his wife turned 40 recently so we had to make them something to celebrate.  Here's what I came up with in a pinch.
